The main ingredient used in our Change™ protein is pea protein isolate. Pea protein is made by grinding peas into a powder and then removing the starch and fiber, leaving a highly concentrated pea protein isolate. Pea protein is comparable to whey protein, but offers a number of significant advantages. Pea protein does not contain gluten or lactose, making it suitable to vegetarians and vegans. Pea protein also contains up to four times as much arginine, which is a driving force in muscle building.
Pea protein contains all nine essential amino acids that your body cannot create and must get from food. However, it’s relatively low in methionine. This is why we added this to our product. In general, animal proteins are more easily digested and absorbed than plant-based proteins. However, research demonstrates that pea protein is one of the more easily digested plant-based proteins — just behind soy protein and chickpeas.
Hemp seeds are one of the most nutritious food sources on earth. The hemp seeds are cold pressed and ground to obtain protein powder. Hemp contains both soluble and insoluble fiber and is therefore an excellent source of fiber. Hemp seed is one of the few foods with a complete amino acid profile, making it a perfect ingredient for Change™ protein.
We use natural vanilla extract to flavour Change™ protein. Vanilla sticks (hence 'natural') are pressed to extract flavour. Because of its high concentration, only a very small amount is needed to give our protein a nice flavour. This leaves ample room for other beneficial ingredients.
Amino acids are building blocks for proteins, one of the important components of which humans, animals and plants are built. Proteins support essential functions in your body and are responsible for muscle growth and repair. The combination of L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine in the ratio of 2:1:1 is a proven combination to optimize recovery after a workout. Other ratios such as 8:1:1 did not show any benefits during research (Source).

In our search to create to best possible plant-based protein experience we talked to a lot of companies. We decided to work with our Dutch production partner Nuvita, because of their experience in this specific field. Only the highest quality ingredients are used and production takes place in a FSSC 22000 certified environment. Batches are tested by independent EUROFINS laboratory to ensure a pure formula.
Because our Change™ Protein is designed and custom manufactured from scratch, we have every batch tested by independent Dutch laboratory EUROFINS. We test for the absence of heavy metals and the specified amino acids.
Our protein does not contain any allergens suchs as soy or gluten, and is GMO-free. As a sweetener we use Steviolglycocides (E960) which is 200-300 times as sweet as sugar and provides no calories. It has been used for centuries in South America as a sweetener and is extracted from the leaf of the stevia plant. Steviol glycosides have no adverse effect on teeth and do not affect insulin and/or blood sugar levels, making it also suitable for diabetics. Xanthan gum (E415) is of vegetable origin and the sticky substance is created from sugar and molasses. Molasses is a nutritious sweetener that is a by-product of sugar production. In addition to being used as a thickener, xanthan gum is also used as a stabilizer, emulsifier and gluten substitute.
Yes, our Change™ Protein has a complete amino acid profile, consisting of 18 amino acids. A portion of Change™ Protein contains 5,65gr of BCAA ingredients.
We recommend taking 1 to 2 portions of Change™ Protein per day, depending on your activities. Change™ Protein is best taken before, during or after workout or sports activities. One portion of Change™ Protein is made of 30gr protein mixed with water or plant-based milk.
Mix 30gr Change™ Protein powder with 200-300ml water or plant-based milk in our shaker. Drink before, during or after your workout or sports activities. You can also mix Change™ Protein powder in your baking recipe, such as pancakes or brownies.
After testing multiple manufacturing facilities, we decided to team up with our Dutch manufacturer to develop Change™ Protein. This manufacturer is FSSC22000 certified and uses only the best ingredients. All ingredients are tested and certified. We also decided to have each batch of final products tested by independent Dutch laboratory EUROFINS.
